Birds in Boxes

At a district railway station in Uttarakhand, I saw some ten boxes stacked up on the ground, full of colourful birds, and I found it worth sharing. We sometimes see latched-up exotic birds pleasing to the eyes with their prismatic feathers, warbling sweet notes through caged bars, but think back for a second. Us humans have always dreamed of flying, having had no natural wings; what would it be like to have your instinctive flight chipped off?

Set them free, these birds in boxes.
